Schott and Thatcher to Cover Salt Lake Comic Con

What happens when a political reporter and a Utah State Senator attend one of the biggest pop-culture conventions in the state? Let’s find out!

Managing Editor Bryan Schott and Sen. Daniel Thatcher (R-West Valley City) will bring their unique perspectives to the massive three-day event as they dig into the massive economic impact of the event and why so many people are hungry to attend.

Thatcher says he’s interested in how the event, which is expected to bring 100,000 attendees to the Salt Palace, got so big so fast.

“Counter culture is big business,” says Thatcher. “People who grew up loving these movies and shows are now adults and have expendable income for these kinds of events.”

Schott and Thatcher will be posting interviews from the event that runs from April 17-19.
