Cox/Henderson weigh in on Capitol violence

Governor Cox, on his second full day on the job, addressed the rioting in the nation’s Capitol and the protests at the Utah Capitol. Watch here:

Lt. Governor Deidre Henderson posted the following: “I’m sad for America today. One of the most important attributes that sets the United States of America apart from the rest of the world is our peaceful transfer of power. I’m appalled by what has occurred in our nation’s capital and strongly condemn the violence and destructive rhetoric. We must all stand up for the constitution, the rule of law, the peaceful transfer of power, and the return to sanity. What’s more: all leaders need to hold themselves accountable for their dangerous words and the actions of others that follow as a result.”
