Rep. Jim Matheson’s website was honored with a “Gold Mouse” award from the Congressional Management Foundation as one of the best websites in Congress.
Matheson’s site earned a “bronze” award from the group. He was one of 44 House members honored for their online presence, and the only one from Utah to earn recognition.Â
The Foundation considered 10 factors in making their decisions on awards:
- Informs constituents of legislative positions and actions.
- Demonstrates accountability and transparency.
- Follows best practices for usability.
- Provides timely content and updated links
- Helps constituents resolve problems with federal agencies
- Provides easy access and guidance on other constituent services
- Focuses on district/state needs and interests
- Explains Congress and the legislative process
- Maintains diverse communications channels
- Offers diverse communications content.
