UtahPolicy.com has confirmed Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker will announce his bid for a third term Monday morning.

Becker starts his 2015 bid with $200,333 in his campaign war chest, giving him a sizeable advantage right from the beginning.

After Becker announced his Monday press conference, Councilman Luke Garrott tweeted out this message on his personal account:

Other people rumored to be eyeing a run for Mayor in 2015 are former Rep. Jackie Biskupski, Sen. Jim Dabakis, current City Council members Stan Penfold, Kyle LaMalfa and Charlie Luke and former council member Jill Remington Love.
