Poll: Utahns Want Congress to Compromise with President Obama

As Congress gets back to work, an overwhelming number of Utahns think the new Republican majority should compromise with President Obama to get things done.

Our UtahPolicy.com poll conducted by Dan Jones and Associates finds nearly 80% of Utahns think the Republican controlled Congress and President Obama should work together to find solutions to the nation's problems. Just 17% say the two sides should not seek common ground.

If the two sides can't find a way to compromise, Utahns are divided on who should take the blame. 37% say President Obama should be to blame for continuing gridlock in Washington. 30% say Congress should take the blame. 29% say both sides are equally to blame if gridlock continues.

The survey was conducted 12/2/2014 – 12/10/2014 among 609 registered Utah voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.97%.
