Two of the region’s most well-known and respected government relations firms – Lincoln Hill Partners and Utah Policy Advocates – announced today a merger of their respective firms. The new legal and government relations firm, which will operate moving forward under the name Lincoln Hill Partners, will be comprised of well-known government relations professionals Lincoln Shurtz, Casey Hill, Chase Everton and Derek Brown, Esq. The new legal and government relations firm will be the largest of its kind in Utah.
Lincoln Hill Partners will provide not only legal services, but services involving state and federal government relations, political campaigns, legislative guidance, and strategic messaging for a broad spectrum of business, nonprofit, and local government clients.
“With over five decades of collective experience, our two firms have taken on our clients’ toughest challenges and delivered results for them through implementing unique, creative solutions,” stated Lincoln Shurtz, co-founder of Lincoln Hill Partners. “This merger creates a new firm with the resources and experience to represent Fortune 100 companies, but nimble enough to assist small, early stage entrepreneurial efforts,” explained Derek Brown.
“Our goal for this merger is to bring a new level of service, strategic thinking and execution to lobbying, governmental relations and communications in this region,” said Casey Hill.
“The synergy between our two firms will create one firm that redefines the industry in Utah, representing many of the largest businesses in the country, as well as those local companies focusing their efforts here in Utah,” said Chase Everton.
Brown, an attorney with experience in government, regulatory, and administrative law, has practiced law in the Washington D.C. office of international law firm Sidley & Austin LLP. He will continue to provide legal services to clients as part of the new venture.
Lincoln Hill and Utah Policy Advocates’ combined efforts have resulted in significant economic growth for Utah, including securing over $10 billion in infrastructure projects and more than $20 billion in capital investment. They have represented multiple Fortune 100 companies, numerous cities and counties, and many nonprofits and commissions on Capitol Hill and in the community.
Though the new firm will represent clients in Washington, D.C., and coordinate and oversee multi-state lobbying and public relations efforts across the country, it will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with plans to expand locations as necessary.
