Utah Motorcycle Enthusiasts Can Help Feed Families Now for Thanksgiving 2022

Thanksgiving in June? Not quite, but Utah motorcycle riders can join in the Thanksgiving Heroes Annual Turkey Run to help provide thousands of Thanksgiving meals to Utah families this November across Utah.

On Saturday, June 4, 2022 motorcycle enthusiasts will start a motorcycle ride and Poker Run at the Landmark Grill in Midvale in the morning and finish at Leatherheads Sports Bar in Draper that afternoon. At the end of the ride there will be an after party for non-riders and families as well! Several hundred riders are expected to participate this year.

Thanksgiving Heroes is a national non-profit organization started in 2015 in Utah with a simple mission to help Utah families in need enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast. The meals feed a family of five for an entire week with a turkey and all of the familiar trimmings. Thanksgiving Heroes scope and impact has grown from feeding 750 Utah families just a few years ago, to a goal of providing Thanksgiving meals for more than 3000 Utah families in 2022.

“It is an amazing sight to see bikers from every walk of life and level of rider come together and rev their engines for those who are hungry and in need of a helping hand,” stated Thanksgiving Heroes Founder Rob Adams. “It is important we prepare for this beloved holiday now, so that we can feed even more Utahns than ever before. Participants can be part of a significant service opportunity and enjoy Utah’s spectacular views from the back of their bikes along the way. That’s a win in my book!”

To be part of this fun event and fundraiser, people can register here. Registration includes an event tee, breakfast, poker hand, bike show entry and after party. The event is open to the public.

The registration begins at 8:30 am, with kickstands up at 10:00 am. The ride will finish at 2:00 pm and a celebration will begin including food trucks, a bike show, silent auction and raffle.
