Utah Business Diversity Summit: Call for presentation proposals

The Salt Lake Chamber and State of Utah are seeking presentation proposals for Utah’s Business Diversity Summit, part of the One Utah Summit Series. The Summit will engage business and community leaders in efforts to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces. Breakout sessions proposals should be targeted toward businesses with well-developed diversity and inclusion programs, and/or those businesses without current efforts but want to engage. Criteria is outlined below. Proposals must be submitted by July 8, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

Proposals should include:

  • Title of Presentation
  • Description of Presentation
  • Purpose and Takeaways
  • Proposed Speaker/Panelists/Moderator with Bios
  • Relevance to the Purpose of the Summit
  • Takeaway Action Items for Attendees
  • Contact Information (Name, Title, Organization, Phone Number, Email)

Purpose of Summit: To bring together business, government and community leaders to discuss the issue of diversity and inclusion in the state, as well as provide tools, resources and networking opportunities in this topic area.

Guiding Principles: Utah Compact on Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Acknowledgment and Action
  • Investment
  • Public Policies and Listening
  • Engagement
  • Movement, Not a Moment

Length: Presentations should be approximately 45 minutes.

Selection Process: Presentations will be selected on relevance to the stated purpose and guiding principles.
