The Utah Senate Judicial Confirmation Committee is seeking public comment on attorney Rick Westmoreland, who Governor Spencer J. Cox appointed as a judge for the 2nd District Juvenile Court.

The Senate Judicial Confirmation Committee plans to hold a public hearing, then issue a recommendation to the full Senate. If confirmed by the Senate, Westmoreland will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Michelle E. Heward on August 1, 2022.
The 2nd Juvenile District includes Weber, Davis and Morgan counties.
