Rise of the CCP:

“The most dangerous threat we currently face is the rise of the Chinese Communist Party,”…“We have to chew gum and walk at the same time – we need to keep our eyes on the global war on terror and prepare for the greater threat of confronting China.”

“Americans have seen President Xi Jinping refuse to give up power, China’s takeover of Hong Kong, human rights violations against the Uyghurs, China’s response to COVID-19, and [the CCP] stealing intellectual property,”… “I think a lot of people realize things going on in China that we should be concerned with, but we are now just beginning to have this conversation.”

Ukraine:

“We left a catastrophe in Libya because we had no objective or plan. I hope that we take that example and look at Ukraine and not make the same mistakes,”…“It’s a complicated world and a good example of that is looking back on Libya and asking the questions: Was it worth it? Did we achieve anything from it? Or did we leave things worse than they were before?”

“We need to ask ourselves, what are our goals and objectives in Ukraine, and does President Zelenskyy align with our goals? President Zelenskyy would love to drag us into a direct conflict with Russia, and we must avoid that.”
