Representatives Blake Moore (R-UT), John Garamendi (D-CA), Mike Turner (R-OH), and Kathy Castor (D-FL) have convened the House Air Force Caucus as co-chairs for the 118th Congress. This bipartisan group includes 78 members and oversees issues impacting the U.S. Air Force. The caucus collaborates directly with the Secretary of the Air Force on specialized briefings, installation visits, and outreach opportunities with Air Force stakeholders throughout the year.

Hill Air Force Base is the Air Force’s second largest base by population and geographical size. It is home to F-35 and MMIII Depot maintenance and the Air Force’s first fully operational F-35 fighter wing to deploy abroad. The base is also the largest single-site employer in the state of Utah, with an economic impact of more than $7 billion annually.
The host organization at Hill Air Force Base is the 75th Air Base Wing, which oversees 1,000,000 acres and more than 1,700 facilities valued at $4 billion while providing installation support for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Air Force active duty 388th and Reserve 419th Fighter Wings, and more than 50 mission partners that employ more than 27,000 personnel.
The base also has support responsibility for the operation of the Utah Test and Training Range. Located in Utah’s west desert, the airspace is situated over 2.3 million acres of land and contains the largest block of overland contiguous special-use airspace in the continental United States.
