Top of the Rockies recognizes Utah Policy for headlines

Over the weekend, Utah Policy received an award from the 2023 Top of the Rockies Contest sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists’ Colorado Pro Chapter. This is a regional, multi-platform contest for news outlets in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming.

Contributor Jared Whitley won second place in the Headlines category for the small newsrooms division. This is the third in the last five years that Whitley has won that exact award.

The winning headlines were:

Fare thee well, OGH – a retrospective on working in the US Senate following the passing of fmr. Sen. Orrin Hatch.

Even in a world of stubborn never-Trumpers, Evan McMullin is still wrong for Utah – an oped about last year’s Senate race.

I wasn’t worried about ChatGPT until I tried ChatGPT – a humor column about the impact of AI on the writing profession.
