Utah Senate Minority caucus announces 2024 General Session priorities

At the heart of our agenda lies the belief that all Utah families deserve an elevated quality of life. The Utah Senate Democrats prioritize people over politics, advocating a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to statewide issues. Recognizing the interconnected nature of our challenges, we understand the necessity of multifaceted solutions beyond mere policy interventions.

“Amidst the challenges confronting our nation and state, it is imperative that we, as senators, advocate for the diverse voices of all Utahns and safeguard our opportunity to have quality of life.” said Minority Leader Luz Escamilla, “We are committed to engaging in respectful and constructive dialogues on the pressing issues. Recognizing the importance of differing opinions, we stand ready to address difficult conversations, ensuring the protection of the rights and freedoms of all Utah residents in a proactive manner.”

“Utah ranks as the best economy in the nation, therefore we are dedicated to ensuring that all Utahns have equal opportunities to thrive. Our commitment lies in providing every individual with access to the resources and abilities needed for success. Together, as partners of the U.S., we strive for shared prosperity and inclusive growth.” said Minority Whip Kathleen Riebe.
