The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA), the gold standard for government accountability, has honored Salt Lake County with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2022. An impartial, nonpartisan panel of judges, appointed by the GFOA, evaluated Salt Lake County’s annual comprehensive financial report. Their review confirmed that our report not only meets but also exceeds the program’s stringent criteria, embodying a spirit of full disclosure. The Certificate of Achievement underscores our success in creating a transparent, accessible report that effectively tells the financial story of Salt Lake County.
