“I don’t look like a Senator:” Caroline Gleich, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Utah, launches new ad

Today, Caroline Gleich, professional ski mountaineer and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Utah, released her first video ad of the election cycle. The video, titled “Like A Senator,” challenges head-on the preconceived notions of what a Senator should look like. The advertisement highlights Caroline’s impressive career as an athlete and advocate and showcases her relentless determination, resilience, and strength.

Watch the ad here or below. With this advertising campaign, the Gleich campaign marks an early investment to reach voters across Utah on a scale rarely seen by Democrats in the state. The advertising campaign will run on streaming television, social media, YouTube, and more.

At just 38 years old, Gleich is a professional athlete and content creator running to replace Mitt Romney in the U.S. Senate after he called on the next generation of leaders to step up in the wake of his retirement. Caroline has years of experience advocating for climate issues both locally and federally and has already made waves intimately sharing her story of freezing her eggs in light of recent IVF rulings. She would be the youngest woman in the Senate if elected, and Utah’s first female senator. Gleich’s background and message could make her the perfect candidate for a purple-trending Utah, which is the youngest state in the country, the fastest-growing state in the country, and has a strong anti-Trump streak.
