Utah Division of Consumer Protection and University of Utah Sustainability Office host annual Declutter Day
WHAT:Â Declutter Day is an opportunity for Utahns to safely dispose of sensitive documents and expired medications, donate unwanted clothing, and recycle unwanted electronics. Different organizations will be on-site to handle the disposal needs.
WHY: Identity theft is far too common, and ensuring sensitive information is appropriately protected through shredding documents and wiping electronic devices to ensure that information doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
WHO: Utahns who have documents that need to be shredded, electronics they no longer need, expired medications, or unwanted clothing that they would like help getting rid of.
