Salt Lake Chamber announces Nathan R. Callister, EVP of Wells Fargo, as 2024-2025 board chair

The Salt Lake Chamber, Utah’s largest and longest-serving business association has named Nathan R. Callister, Executive Vice President and Head of Utah Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo, as the new chair of its Board of Governors. Callister most recently served as the Chamber’s vice chair.

Nathan Callister comes with more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry. As a commercial banking leader, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Utah Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo Bank, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this new role. Prior to his time there, Callister spent two years as Head of Commercial Banking at Community Banks of Colorado and Hillcrest Bank gaining diverse experience.

Callister took over as Board Chair in March 2024 (before his official term) as the previous Board Chair Gary Hoogeveen, former president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Power, was called out of state to serve as president of Pilot Energy. The Chamber’s incoming board vice chair is Jeremy Hafen, president and CEO of Clyde Companies, Inc.

Nathan Callister Bio:

Nathan Callister comes with more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry. As a commercial banking leader, serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Utah Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo Bank, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this new role. Prior to his time there, Callister spent two years as Head of Commercial Banking at Community Banks of Colorado and Hillcrest Bank gaining diverse experience. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Russian from Brigham Young University. He is married with 8 children.

Jeremy Hafen Bio:

Jeremy Hafen is president and CEO of Clyde Companies where he oversees all the operations. Prior to his current role, he served as president of Sunroc, president of Sunpro and as vice president of Administrative Services for Clyde Companies. Hafen joined the company in 2004. He’s currently serving as the MTech Chair of the Board and previously served as the chair of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. Hafen graduated from Brigham Young University, where he earned a master’s degree in accounting. He currently lives in Springville, Utah, with his wife, Camille, and their seven children. Hafen enjoys spending time with his family.
