The Utah Delegation to the Democratic National Convention has unanimously endorsed Vice-President Kamala Harris for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. The Salt Lake County Party is excited to follow their lead and endorse Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to President Biden and Vice President Harris for their unwavering commitment to our state. The Biden-Harris administration has delivered significant support for Utah, including $370 million to expand affordable internet access and $710 million in student debt relief for our residents. This puts more money in the pockets of Salt Lake County residents. I am particularly thrilled to see the remarkable increase in youth engagement over the past week. Our team of National Delegates was proud to nominate VP Harris to be the first female President and this decision will undoubtedly drive Democratic turnout up and down the whole ballot. The Salt Lake County Dems are optimistic, mobilized, and we aren’t going back,” said Salt Lake County Democratic Party Chair Jade Velazquez
We also express our gratitude to President Biden for his decades as a public servant for our country. President Biden has drastically improved our quality of life and communities through his policies and initiatives as President. We are sad to see him end his campaign, but excited to see what he is going to accomplish in his final six months and to support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz campaign.
