Utah Valley University’s (UVU) College of Humanities and Social Science’s (CHSS) Degrees to Anywhere Speaker Series commenced the fall 2026 lineup with Clint Pulver, Emmy Award winner, Hall of Fame speaker, and UVU public relations and strategic communication alumni.
Pulver is one of the world’s leading voices on employee retention and organizational culture, and he is the bestselling author of a top-selling leadership handbook. As founder and president of the Center for Employee Retention, Clint has helped organizations like the NBA, Microsoft, Red Bull, and NASA build engaged, loyal workplaces where people never want to leave.
“Clint’s story reflects the power of learn, earn, and return,” said Candida Johnson, assistant dean of UVU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. “Through education and personal growth, he learned. Through diligence and hard work, he earned. And by sharing his time, talents, and resources, he continues to return. We are grateful he has come back to UVU to inspire our students to pursue their education and achieve their goals.”
Pulver spoke to the audience about how his degree in public relations and strategic communication helped catapult his career into public and motivational speaking, leadership, and service.
The Degrees to Anywhere Speaker Series connects UVU alumni, faculty, staff, and community members with UVU students to share career stories that show how humanities and social sciences degrees open doors to a wide range of career fields.
