Women’s Leadership Institute to host free screening of “Prime Minister” documentary followed by leadership panel

The Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI), in partnership with the Larry H. Miller Company, will host a special public screening of the documentary Prime Minister on December 9, 2025, at the Megaplex Downtown Daybreak in South Jordan. The film, which chronicles Jacinda Ardern’s groundbreaking tenure as New Zealand’s prime minister, will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Immediately following the screening, WLI will host a panel discussion inspired by Ardern’s memoir A Different Kind of Power and the themes explored in the film.

The panel will feature three of the Larry H. Miller Company’s top women executives: Amanda Covington, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer; Michelle Smith, Chief People Officer and President of Miller Sports + Entertainment; and Sarah Starkey, Chief Legal Officer. Moderated by Melanie Jones, CEO of the Women’s Leadership Institute, the discussion will explore themes such as empathetic leadership, crisis response, community, courage, and the evolving role of women in positions of influence.

“Jacinda Ardern’s leadership showed the world that strength and compassion don’t exist in opposition — they belong together. This event is about celebrating that truth and highlighting the exceptional women in our own community who lead with that same conviction. We’re thrilled to partner with The Larry H. Miller Company to bring this experience to Utah.” — Melanie Jones, CEO, Women’s Leadership Institute

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is available at:  https://bit.ly/prime-minister
