“ICE overreach has created unrest and compromised security and safety in many US communities, including an additional death today in Minnesota. I am deeply relieved to hear that the Ritchie Group will not sell or lease a warehouse in Salt Lake City that was a designated site for an ICE detention facility. A facility that potentially houses 7,500 detainees has no place in an urban area and I strongly support a more guarded and humane ICE operation.”
