ABC4 Utah and its affiliate, Utah’s CW30, are pleased to announce a new anchor team for ABC4 Utah News at 4 p.m.
Good4Utah news anchor and chief political correspondent, Glen Mills, and chief meteorologist Dan Pope are joined by anchor and reporter Surae Chinn as of August 1, 2016.
“This is a new partnership between Glen, Dan, and myself,” says Chinn. “We get to have a clean slate, a new lead-in and a new team dynamic. I’m with two people, Utahns have come to trust and rely on for weather, news and what makes Utah tick. I want people to be informed but also know they have a voice.”
Surae Chinn is an experienced, award-winning journalist, having anchored and reported in Washington, D.C., Kansas City, and Lynchburg, Virginia prior to coming to Utah. Chinn has two children and is married to Good4Utah’s morning meteorologist Devon Lucie.
“Life in Utah has been inspiring so far,” says Chinn. “The sites, restaurants and culture. I’m continuing to discover what makes Utah unique and why people come to the Beehive state and end up never leaving. Bottom line: I know my young children are going to have a great experience growing up in Salt Lake City.”
