The Utah State Charter School Board named Jennifer Lambert as its executive director. Lambert had been serving as interim director since Marlies Burns resigned in July to pursue other interests.
“The Board was fortunate to have great applicants from which to choose,” said State Charter School Board Chair Kristin Elinkowski. “We have confidence we have the right people in place to build on our charter school successes here in Utah.”
Lambert of Salt Lake City has been a charter school specialist at the Utah State Board of Education office for the past three years. She has previously worked at the Utah Education Policy Center at the University of Utah and as a data and statistics coordinator for the Utah State Board of Education. She is completing a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Utah.
