Check out this web video from 3rd Congressional District Democratic candidate Stephen Tryon hitting a punching bag to promote his debate with Rep. Jason Chaffetz.
If you can overlook the fact that the video is shot in portrait instead of landscape mode on a phone (which you should seriously stop doing), it’s not a bad effort at trying to build hype for the debate on October 19th at Utah Valley University.
Tryon does his best to channel the late, great Muhammad Ali. “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,” he says, mimicking the boxing legend. “Jason Chaffetz is going down,” he continues.
Easier said than done.
Chaffetz leads Tryon by a whopping 43-points in the latest UtahPolicy.com survey (69-23%). The Utah Debate Commission survey gave Chaffetz a similarly large lead over Tryon.
