Gary Johnson is tired of talking about Evan McMullin.
The Libertarian presidential candidate, who seemed poised to do well in the Beehive State until McMullin entered the race, tells the Guardian that the independent candidate is “ensuring Hillary Clinton will win Utah.”
“He’s from Utah,” said Johnson of McMullin’s success in Utah. “He’s on the ballot in 11 states, so he can’t win the presidency. He’s ensuring that Hillary Clinton wins Utah, and I begrudge no one from entering the race.”
Johnson also bristled when he was asked about being a “spoiler” in the presidential race.
“Why are you even interviewing me? I don’t get it. If I’m doing so poorly, is this to preside over a funeral here? It’s not a funeral! It’s a celebration!”
