Five year report on City Creek’s impact on downtown released

Downtown Alliance LogoFrom concept to completion, City Creek has been a catalyst for rapid urban redevelopment in downtown Salt Lake City. It has now been five years since the grand opening of this state-of-the-art mixed-use development.

The Downtown Alliance released a report “City Creek & Downtown: A Catalyst for Community” with statistics and project timeline.

“City Creek is a model for urban architecture, not only in the design and construction but in its purpose and operation.”

– Linda Wardell, General Manager City Creek Center

“City Creek Center has transformed downtown into a hive of activity that goes way beyond a basic retail experience. Connecting and welcoming people from across the region is one of the primary purposes behind this generational development for our downtown.”

– Jason Mathis, Executive Director, Downtown Alliance

“Albion Fit has experienced a 200% year over year increase in sales after opening at City Creek. The international clientele and prime location, paired with exceptional management has made all the difference for our store.”

– Elizabeth Findlay, Owner
