Registration open for governor-led trade mission to Mexico

World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) is currently accepting registrants for the Governor-led Trade Mission to Mexico, which will occur April 9-13, 2018.

“Mexico’s trade agreements with the U.S. and close proximity to the state make it an ideal location for Utah companies looking to expand internationally,” said Derek B. Miller, president and CEO of WTC Utah. “Join us on the Mexico Trade Mission to explore the country’s business environment, make valuable connections and potentially sign business contracts.”

The registration form can be found at www.wtcutah.com and must be submitted by Jan. 31

During the trade mission, attendees will participate in the following:

  • Market specific briefings and seminars by in-country experts
  • Pre-arranged and customized business-to-business meetings through the U.S. Commercial Service’s Gold Key Matchmaking Service
  • Company site visits
  • VIP networking receptions for business leaders and elected officials

Mexico is the 15th largest economy in the world and the fourth largest export market for Utah goods. The country’s economic outlook is positive thanks to a young labor force bolstering its manufacturing sector. Top Utah products to Mexico include transportation equipment, textiles and fabrics, food chemicals and electrical equipment.

The trade mission is hosted by WTC Utah in partnership with the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the Small Business Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service.
