Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the senior Republican in the United States Senate, and author of the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, issued the following statement following the announcement that Dominion Energy would be using their savings from tax reform to lower utility costs for customers in Utah:
“While the media and many on the Left told Americans that our tax reform efforts would lead to tax hikes, ‘Armageddon,’ and even death, Utahns are experiencing quite the opposite. Just one month into the new year, families across our state are already seeing higher paychecks, bonuses, and even lower utility bills. These are not abstract benefits but real results for real people in real time—and this is just the beginning.”
