State Rep. Justin Fawson, R-North Ogden, is not running for re-election this year and, in fact, will resign his seat sometime this spring.
Fawson told UtahPolicy.com on Tuesday that his wife, Sara, a nurse-midwife, has gotten a new job in North Carolina and the family will be relocating to the Raleigh area soon.
Fawson, a former member of the North Ogden City Council, was first elected to House District 7 in 2014. He rose rather quickly through GOP ranks and now sits on the House Rules Committee, a plum assignment.
