Sen. Karen Mayne says the state needs to do a better job protecting the personal information of Utah voters.
Prompted by a website that published the personal information contained in the state’s voter file.
“This is very damaging,” says Mayne. “We’ve created four categories of people who should be able to access that list – scholarly, government, journalistic and political. Those four entities use it for good. My legislation makes it so you cannot buy the voter list for commercial gain.”
