Thomas Wright, Co-chair of the UTDC, stated, “The Utah Debate Commission is excited to bring primary debates to the citizens of Utah for the first time. We hope these debates will help voters make informed decisions and allow all of us to better engage in the election process. Please take time out of your busy schedule to join us and our media partners to get to know all of the candidates.”
Scott Howell, Co-chair, echoed Wright’s thoughts, “These primary debates are a great opportunity for every voter in Utah, but especially first-time voters to hear candidates discuss the tough issues facing all Utah citizens. These groundbreaking debates will help voters make an informed decision, and there is nothing like a spirited debate to help voters make a choice. Informed voters ultimately lead to better public policy for everyone.
