Congresswoman Mia Love, a member of the House Financial Services Committee issued the following statement after attending a signing ceremony at the White House for S. 2155, The Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act, which represents the most significant pro-growth financial regulatory reform package in a generation.
Rep. Love’s bill, H.R. 4771, The Small Bank Holding Company Relief Act, was included in the package of bills. Her bill will make it easier for small banks to lend money in their communities.
Rep. Love: “Our bill is a tribute to the hard work and bipartisan cooperation in both the House and the Senate. This bipartisan package will strike a balance between ensuring a safe and sound banking system and promoting economic growth. They will untangle financial regulations from their hold on our economy, and bring common sense and financial opportunity back to Utah and the rest of the nation.”
