Sen. Mike Lee on Trump’s list of possible SCOTUS nominees

Sen. Mike Lee is on President Trump’s list of 25 possible nominees to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court. 

Kennedy announced he was retiring on Wednesday afternoon. Trump told reporters that his pick to replace Kennedy would come from a list of 25 names the White House published late last year. That list includes Lee.

Lee’s brother, Thomas Lee, who is a Utah Supreme Court Justice is also on the list.

Erica Werner of the Washington Post tweeted on Wednesday that Lee told her in a quick hallway interview that he “would not say no” if Trump nominated him for the Supreme Court.
