Good Wednesday morning from Salt Lake City.
It’s all over but the counting! Ben McAdams is clinging to a 4,714 vote lead over Mia Love this morning. Everyone will be on pins and needles for the next two weeks as we wait to see if that lead will hold, or Love makes up the difference.
Quick hits from Tuesday’s election:
- Mitt Romney easily won the U.S. Senate race
- Rob Bishop, Chris Stewart and John Curtis cruised to wins in their re-election bids.
- Prop. 2, medical marijuana, passed with 53%.
- Prop. 3, Medicaid expansion, was approved by 54% of voters
- Prop. 4, redistricting, held a slight majority (50.3%) at the end of the night.
- Democrats appeared to have picked up 3 seats in the Utah House and 1 in the Utah Senate.
