WTC Utah is looking for an experienced and exceptional leader to develop and implement a state-wide foreign investment strategy.

WTC Utah is a private nonprofit at the heart of Utah’s international business community. Our mission is to promote prosperity across the state by attracting investment and increasing exports. WTC Utah accomplishes this mission through three key objectives. First is to help Utah companies add customers, increase revenue and create jobs by selling internationally. Second is to promote Utah as a premier destination for foreign investment to fuel innovation and economic growth. Third is to enhance Utah’s global brand by hosting foreign dignitaries and leading Utah delegations abroad.
Position Overview & Opportunities
The Vice President for Foreign Investment will, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and WTC Utah’s strategic partners, develop a state-wide strategy and implementation plan to increase foreign investment into Utah. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership to the State of Utah on foreign investment opportunities, recruit foreign officials and investors to visit Utah, develop programming for both inbound and outbound trade missions, and manage WTC Utah’s engagement with the World Trade Center Association. The incumbent will also partner with the public and private sector in Utah to support an increase in public-private partnerships in the state and develop foreign investment programming designed to support economic growth in rural Utah.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of innovative, dynamic and visionary leadership with strong strategic planning experience, communication skills and political and business acumen. The successful candidate will be an effective convener of diverse organizations, companies and individuals, and demonstrate strong team building skills, both as a leader and as a follower. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of, and be passionate about, growing Utah’s international business economy by building an investment network in Utah and internationally.
