Silicon Slopes and the Utah Clean Air Partnership (UCAIR) unveils a strategic air quality partnership to move forward a solutions-based approach to improving air quality within Utah’s rapidly growing tech sector.
“One in seven Utah jobs are in Utah’s technology sector and growth in this industry and is expected to continue to accelerate with no slowdown in sight,” said Thom Carter, UCAIR executive director. “This growth is tremendous for the economy of our state, but this influx of people to fill these positions also means an influx of increasing emissions that has a marked impact on our air quality. This partnership provides a direct line of communication between Silicon Slopes and UCAIR about easy and workable solutions to support this continued growth boon while mitigating its impact on our air quality.”
UCAIR will work hand in hand with Silicon Slopes leadership and members to provide air quality data, easily-implementable air aware ideas and information about innovative programs and exchanges to Silicon Slopes leadership and the community.

Addressing this issue now ensures the sustainable growth of Utah’s startup and tech ecosystem,” said Clint Betts, Silicon Slopes executive director. “The opportunity to partner with UCAIR supports our efforts in promoting the health of our economy and our environment.”
