State Representative Steve Eliason has accepted an invitation from The Council of State Governments (CSG) to be on their Healthy States: What Works National Task Force.
The task force is divided into four subcommittees, and Representative Eliason has been invited to serve on and co-chair the Intervention to Save Lives Subcommittee. Each of the subcommittees is composed of a team of 12 state leaders. The task force appointment is for a two-year tenure that begins immediately and will conclude Dec. 31, 2020.
As a task force member, Rep. Eliason will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with fellow state leaders, leading subject matter experts, and private sector partners to identify and promote innovative approaches to state health policy challenges while also forging state-centric, problem solving partnerships for the 21st century. The current president of CSG is Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló.
