Back by popular demand, the Salt Lake Chamber is offering an extended 3-hour workshop on Inclusive: How the Best Leaders Build Diverse and Winning Teams. The Inclusive Leader inspires higher organizational performance, greater innovation, better cultures, and more satisfied team members. Sara Jones will teach you the secrets of becoming an Inclusive Leader (vs an Exclusive Leader). You’ll learn how to shift your mindset, how to engage the talent around you, and how to apply an inclusive lens to the work of building your team culture. This will be a highly interactive training, come ready to learn. This training is for anyone seeking to build their leadership skills.
This extended training will focus on executive leadership skills. Executive leaders, such as the CEO, C-level team members and VPs, have top-level responsibility for driving culture of the organization. The Executive Leadership Version focuses on culture drivers of leadership and mindset retooling traditional notions of diversity through inclusive leadership skills.
This 3-hour workshop will include highly interactive modules on:
- Setting the tone of safety and respect
- Understanding the difference between diversity and inclusion
- Performance driven aspects of inclusion
- How unconscious bias limits inclusion and trust
- Framework for addressing unconscious bias
- Action planning on performance-driven inclusive behaviors
In the Executive Leadership Version, we emphasize:
- How leadership trust networks form and how to expand for more diverse perspectives
- How culture language is reflected in informal relationship building
- How leadership communicates values and value alignment
- Specific ways executives can foster more inclusion in the company
WHO: Sara Jones has coached, keynoted, and trained hundreds of executives nationally on leadership, performance, talent, and growth strategies. She is the President of InclusionPro, which provides a suite of talent services to help companies succeed at attracting and retaining diverse talent. She also innovates on talent technology. Sara was the CEO of ApplicantPro, an HR tech company that provided applicant tracking, background checks, assessments and video interviewing. She is a co-Founder of Women Tech Council, founded in 2007, with a community of over 10,000 women and men. She was the head of business development and partnerships at School Improvement Network, which offered on-demand video training to educators. Sara started her career at Workman Nydegger as a patent attorney and partner. She has a degree from the University of Utah in chemical engineering and a law degree from BYU.
