The Salt Lake County Mayor’s Office, Bonneville Media and Use Only As Directed, the state’s opioid public awareness campaign, are partnering to host a town hall in September, addressing the opioid crisis gripping our community.
In Utah, 7,000 opioid prescriptions are filled every day and five Utahns die every week from opioid overdose. The distinguished group of panelists will talk about the problem with a focus on prevention, and what’s being done to combat the epidemic in Salt Lake County. The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions during the Q&A portion of the event.
