Just over 16% of Utahns struggle to afford healthcare or medicine. That’s a large number, but it’s lower than the national average.

According to Gallup, 18.6% of Americans nationwide have trouble paying for healthcare. Compare that to 16.3% of Utahns.

Alabama is the worst state, where 24.5% of residents struggle to afford healthcare. Iowa is the best with only 12.2% of residents don’t have enough money to afford medicine.
