Workers in Logan and Provo are Late Risers

Workers in Provo and Logan start their workdays later than the rest of the U.S.

FiveThirtyEight.com broke down data that finds the average start time for employees in the U.S. is 7:55 am. Workers in Logan get to the job at 8:12, while those in Provo start their day at 8:15.

That makes some sense as both Logan and Provo are college towns. Other cities on this list include metro areas with large numbers of young, creative professionals or cities that have a bustling tourism industry.

On the flip side, Hinesville, Ga. has the earliest workday in the U.S. at 7:01 a.m. That area includes Ft. Stewart, a large military base.
