Utah Democrats in Ogden chose retired OB/GYN and Air Force veteran Dr. Rosemary Lesser to fill the vacancy in House District 10 left by the passing of Lou Shurtliff.
“As a veteran and a doctor, Dr. Lesser will be an excellent addition to the Legislature. Her knowledge and expertise have benefitted Weber County for many, many years and she will be of immense value to the people of District 10,” said Jeff Merchant, chairman of the Utah Democratic Party.
Dr. Lesser has served several medical missions in Mali and has been active in the Utah Democratic Party for a number of years.
