Singer Brandon Flowers Says Romney ‘Wasn’t a Great Ambassador’ for the LDS Church

Brandon Flowers, lead singer of The Killers, says Mitt Romney didn't do a great job promoting the LDS faith during his 2012 campaign.

Flowers, in an interview with The Daily Beast to promote his new solo album, says Romney could have been a much better ambassador for the Church, but decided to dodge questions about the religion.

“I think Romney would even admit that he wasn’t a great ambassador for it. His answers weren’t great, and it made it even worse; it seemed like he was hiding something. But there’s really nothing to hide. You can find out what you need to find out! It’s all there.”

Flowers' dad, an alcoholic, converted to the LDS faith when he was six-years-old.
