GREENbike Partners with Make-A-Wish Utah on “Make-A-Wish” Bike

GREENbike, Salt Lake City’s non-profit Bike Share program, is partnering with Make-A-Wish Utah to create the “Make-A-Wish Bike”.

This special GREENbike, will be wrapped in blue — the signature color for Make-A-Wish — from May 6, 2015 through the end of GREENbike’s 2015 season (December 25th). Every time the bike is checked out, GREENbike and SelectHealth will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish Utah. The proceeds from this campaign will help make the wishes of local Utah children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions come true.

“As summer approaches, we are excited to be partnering with GREENbike,” said Jared Perry, Make-A-Wish Utah’s CEO. “They are providing the community with a wonderful opportunity to reach out and bring hope, strength and joy into the lives of local Utah kids. We are deeply grateful for their enthusiasm in sharing our mission and the power of a wish.”

“I recently visited the Make-A-Wish Foundation with my Leadership Utah class and I was captivated by their staff and mission,” said GREENbike Director Ben Bolte. “I highly encourage anyone that sees the Make-A-Wish Bike to take a pic and post it on any of our SLC Bike Sharesocial media pages using the hash tag #MakeAWishBike.”

The “Make-A-Wish Bike” can be found at any one of GREENbike’s 20 downtown bike share stations
