The Governor’s Utah Energy Development Summit will be held Wednesday and Thursday this week at the Salt Palace Convention Center. The summit will include keynote remarks from top energy leaders, as well as 12 Breakout Sessions with more than 85 expert speakers from around the region and around the world. Throughout the day attendees may visit both a Tradeshow Area and an Exhibit Area, and the day’s agenda will finish with a closing reception from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Among the participants are Gov. Gary R. Herbert; Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper; Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox; Greg Goff, CEO of Tesoro; Jack Gerard, CEO of the American Petroleum Institute; Jonathan Weisgall, VP of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs, Berkshire Hathaway Energy; and many other industry leaders, NGO’s, government officials and other stakeholder groups interested in Utah’s energy future.
The event starts at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, with a full day of activities on Thursday.
The Tradeshow and Exhibit Areas will feature more than 100 booths and interactive energy displays, including alternative fuel vehicles, renewable energy generation technologies, oil- and gas-well servicing equipment, etc.
