House Minority Leader Rep. Brian King (D-Salt Lake City), says the allegations against Rep. Justin Miller (D-Salt Lake City) are distracting from the business of the legislature, which is why he should resign.
King says it's simply a matter of integrity and trust for public servants.
"Those are all very important things to us," says King. " For the last month, we have been consumed trying to deal with those issues and evaluating information about those issues. The criminal investigations don’t seem to have any end in sight and there’s information that’s difficult for Rep. Miller to deal with. It’s a complete distraction from his work as a Representative for District 40 and for our work as representatives to carry out what we need to be doing."
