The GOP frontrunner in Utah, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, will visit Utah on August 25 for a fundraiser.
Bush will host donors and supporters at the home of Marcia and Ambassador John Price. For a $10,000 donation, visitors will get a seat at the luncheon and a photo op with Bush. A $2,700 donation gets attendees into the luncheon.
A recent UtahPolicy.com/Dan Jones & Associates poll put Bush at the top of the crowded GOP field in Utah with 18%. Businessman Donald Trump and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul are his closest rivals at 9%.
Price and Zions Bank President Scott Anderson are the hosts of the event. Price said in an email invitation that Bush's visit to Utah this early in the presidential contest signals his commitment to listen to issues important to the west.
"Governor Bush’s early commitment to Utah and presence in our great state this early in the presidential race reflect the importance of hosting a fundraising luncheon to introduce Governor Jeb Bush to issues important to Utah, as well as old friends and new."
