The Utah Democratic party is on the offensive against Republican Rep. Mia Love for using her Congressional account to travel to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
The party released a web video, which you can see below, slamming Love for attending the event using public money.
Love has agreed to reimburse her Congressional account for the funds, but says she did meet with members of her staff while back in Washington, which justified the use of the funds.
The Hill, who initially reported Love's expenditure, says Love's office has not yet provided any documentation that she held meetings with staff while in D.C.
Democratic Party Chair Peter Corroon also sent out a fundraising email tied to the video on Wednesday.
Love's office responded to the video, calling it "immoral and dishonest."
"Utah Democrats are sensationalizing this situation purely to raise money," said Love's office in a statement.
