Utah Foundation Will Recognize Dan and Pat Jones at 70th Anniversary Celebration

Dan and Pat Jones, whose polling firm has led generations of Utahns to a better understanding of their community, will be honored with Utah Foundation’s inaugural Insight Award at a gala luncheon on Tuesday, September 15th at the Grand America Hotel.

Pat Jones will also be recognized for her service in the Utah legislature and Dan Jones for his mentoring of hundreds of students as a member of the political science faculty at the University of Utah.

Utah Foundation was organized by leaders in Salt Lake City’s business community in September, 1945. Their concern at the time was that the boom years of Utah’s wartime economy might be followed by leaner times with less tax revenue and that an independent, non-partisan voice was needed to provide reliable research for citizens and policymakers. Since then, Utah Foundation has published more than 730 research reports on subjects as varied as tax policy, public education, air quality, population growth, quality of life and driving safety.

The event is sold out thanks to many generous sponsors and supporters of Utah Foundation.
