Rep. Mia Love’s Statement on Speaker John Boehner’s Resignation

Rep. Mia Love issued the following statement after Speaker John Boehner's announcement he would resign at the end of October:

I am grateful for Speaker Boehner and his family’s service to the House of Representatives.

It is my hope that Speaker John Boehner’s decision to resign will bring about a positive agenda and greater unity in the House of Representatives.

In this time of transition, I am eager to work with a generation of leaders who will bring about a positive agenda that leads to effective policies that uphold American values.

I am looking forward to working with the new Speaker of the House as I endeavor to keep the promises I made to the voters of Utah:  Promoting free market principals, reducing the size of government, decreasing poverty, and bringing Utah values to Washington.
